Her lecture entitled “Hospice Care in the United States: Providing Emotional Support” illustrated how the American model of hospice care not only addresses the physical well-being of the patient but also the provides for the psychological needs of patients facing an end-of-life crisis and the emotional pain endured by surviving family members.
